Grace Bible Church was founded by Rev. Kuruvilla Chandy and its first service was held on 24th August 1997 in the conference hall of Operation Mobilization, Wazir Hasan Road, Lucknow. From 1997 till 2001, the church services and Sunday School classes were held here.
On March 4th, 2001, the church was shifted to the home of Manji, Nalin, Arjun and Fizza Phillips at Mahanagar. The Phillips family were very gracious and generous. They allowed the invasion of their homes on Saturday nights, when three rooms were arranged for the Sunday service and on Sunday another three rooms were used for the Sunday School.
On February 27th, 2005 the church moved into its own space, a hall on the ground floor of an apartment building. The Sunday school classes continue to be held next doors at the Phillips' residence.
LOCATION: The church is located in the heart of Lucknow in Mahanagar. It is well connected with public transport. It is also within 300 meters of the nearest Metro Station. Since it is located inside a colony, the surroundings are calm and quiet, quite helpful for the church services.
